Are you interested in a specific industry? Why?

DevOps and Edtech: I am interested in vertices that address digital transformation of the way we live, learn and work.

How did you get involved in VC?

It was semi-accidental. I worked at a boutique fund last summer in the Bay Area and learned the basics of operating a fund. I have always been excited about the world of entrepreneurship and digital innovation. VC is the perfect marriage of them.

What excites you the most about digital innovation?

I believe our society needs to adopt tech much faster given COVID-19’s lasting impact on our economy. I’m fortunate to be in VC at this time to back aspiring founders who have the potential to not only build a scalable product but also support the digitization of our society in a sustainable way.

What did you do prior to Palm Drive Capital?

I worked as a summer intern at a biotech hardware startup during freshmen summer. Additionally, I spent a summer working for a VC fund last summer. At UC Berkeley, I also served as Editor of Business Review at Berkeley, a publication that covers the latest financial and economics issues.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

Ask me anything about world geography! I won my middle school’s geography bee twice in a row and finished top at the state tournament during my second year.

What has been your favorite place to visit?

I had a chance to visit the Pacific Northwest (Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington) the week before my first semester at Berkeley ended. Although both being cities, I greatly enjoyed the unique environmental landscape -Mount Hood, Puget Sound, Lake Union, Japanese/Chinese garden. Not to mention, I became good friends with my Airbnb hosts and would love to go back.
